Quantum College graduate was elected as a secretary of the governing body
On April 29, 2015 Yerevan State University's Board of Trustees held its first session, in which the president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan was elected as a chairman of the board and YSU Students Scientific Society president Mikayel Malkhasyan was elected as a secretary.
The Boardof Trustees isthe supervising body of YSU managment. Its powers include organizing the selection of Rector, the decision-making about Rector's election and early termination of powers, the hearingand assessment of theRector's annual report, approval of the annual and strategic plans, the structure of the establishment, approval of personnel, the annual estimates of income, expenditure and changes, approval of the annual accounts and so on. The Board of Trustees consists of 32 people: with 25% of YSU faculty members, students (andpostgraduates), representatives of The Government and the Ministry of Education and Science.
Michael Malkhasyan, who is the Quantum College graduate and is currently working as a teacher at the College, was presented at the Board of Trustees as a PhD student in the Department of History and and YSU Students Scientific Society president. The president stressed, that the aspirant is the author of dozens of scientific articles and several books, has presented Armenia in international conferences and intensified the SSS works.
In fact, according to all international ratings, YSU is the highest ranked university, with an enrollment of about 20 thousand students and PhD postgraduates.
